Car accidents may result from crossing center line of road

Several people have sadly lost their lives in a motor vehicle collision in northern Arizona. The multi-vehicle wreck, which also led to several injuries, took place on a recent Thursday night along State Route 89. These types of car accidents can easily happen if a driver is negligent behind the wheel, in which case he or she may be reliable for any injuries and/or deaths that occur as a result.

The car accident occurred at a little past 4:30 p.m. at milepost number 353 along northbound State Road 89. According to authorities, one car breached the road’s middle line and hit another car head-on. This apparently caused one of them to hit a third motor vehicle that was parked along the highway’s shoulder.

Due to the impact of the crash, at least a couple of the cars caught fire, which ended up causing a brush fire. In the recent accident situation, multiple ambulances and two helicopters responded to the crash scene. The crash ended up causing the highway to be blocked both ways.

The person who caused the multi-vehicle collision due to crossing into the opposite lane of the road may face wrongful death claims filed by the surviving loved ones of those who lost their lives in the crash. Likewise, he or she may face personal injury claims filed by the injured accident victims. If this driver happened to be one of the parties killed in the Arizona crash, his or her estate could still be sued, and so could anyone else with an ownership interest in the car he or she was driving when the crash happened. A successfully litigated liability suit, based upon a showing of negligence, may lead to a monetary award that might help to cover hospital costs, funeral expenses and other losses resulting from such car accidents.
