Fatal car accidents may happen due to negligent, reckless driving

Two men’s lives were recently cut short in a tragic automobile crash in Arizona. Meanwhile, another man was arrested for endangerment and manslaughter in connection with the crash. Sometimes, these types of fatal car accidents occur due to the negligence or recklessness of a driver, in which case the driver may be held liable for the deaths resulting from the accident.

The recent Arizona crash took place early in the morning on Sunday near Interstate 10 and State Route 143. Police reported that a man explained to them that he had been riding in the car prior to the accident. Apparently, when the driver of the car, 22, wrecked the car, both men survived the crash.

However, two other men who were riding in the backseat did not survive. Still, the men who survived the crash reportedly fled the scene. Authorities eventually found the two deceased men’s bodies and arrested the driver of the car. The driver is now being held in jail on a half-a-million-dollar bond.

The surviving loved ones of the two men who died in the Arizona car crash may choose to file wrongful death claims against the driver, seeking the reimbursement of damages. If the driver ends up being convicted on his accident-related criminal charges, proof of the conviction may be presented in civil court in an effort to establish liability for the deaths. Once liability has been established, claims for monetary damages will be adjudicated. Financial damages in a successfully fought claim may help to address burial expenses and other losses associated with these types of car accidents.
