Apple facing product liability claim after fatal iPad fire

By the time a product hits the market, Arizona consumers assume that it is safe. Unfortunately, that is not always the case, as companies sometimes overlook certain defects in a rush to generate a profit. One product that has faced a great deal of scrutiny in recent years is the lithium-ion battery. These products are frequently used to power electronics such as smartphones or tablets, and manufacturers that make them have been targeted in numerous product liability claims. One woman alleges that a fire caused by a lithium-ion battery is responsible for the death of her father.

Product liability: Fisher-Price recalls thousands of toy cars

Parents generally want only the best for their children. When considering issues around child safety, things like car seats and protective sports gear come to mind. Arizona families trust that what their children play with is completely safe. Unfortunately, toys and other products for kids that can pose a hidden danger sometimes hit the market before they can be stopped, creating the possibility of product liability. Toy company Fisher-Price recently issued a recall for several thousand toy electric cars due to the danger they may pose to kids.

Car crashes are an unavoidable part of life. Even so, there are many actions that drivers can take to minimize the possibility that a crash will occur, or at least reduce the severity of the incident. That is one Arizona mother's message to the public after she lost a daughter in a collision a couple of months ago. She hopes drivers will listen to her pleas and take steps to avoid car accidents.

Pedestrians are sometimes struck by passing vehicles. Arizona families may be interested to know of a recent report that has discovered a sharp rise in the number of fatal pedestrian accidents.
